1974 ~ 2014 : City of Cardiff Swimming Club celebrating 40 years.

City of Cardiff Swimming Club is the premier swimming club in Wales. Whether you are an Olympic hopeful looking for a Swim Club to meet your needs or a Club Swimmer who wants to reach their full potential, we have a programme to enable every swimmer to reach their full potential!

The club provides its members with the opportunity to swim at all levels.
Learning to swim programmes start with The Dragons leading onto The Academy where skills are developed. The Performance & High Performance Squads can lead to the very highest levels of the sport with the Elite Swimmers coached by Dave Haller MBE.

The club was accredited with “Swim Wales Elite Performance Centre” in 2012.


ABOUT THE CLUB sets out the Club’s Constitution, Code of Conduct, Fees & Swimming Records, together with the Club’s Policies & Procedures.

You will also find details of The Committee and those who help to run the Club together with minutes from the AGM. We set out The Club’s history from the early beginnings in 1974 through to our Olympic heritage.

Easter congrats to David Cocks & Matt Williams who have just secured their Level 3 Senior Coaching Qualification.


Morning/Evening training over the Easter weekend will be cancelled for all squads on Friday 18, Saturday 19 & Monday 21 April.

The following exceptions are for these squads:

Elite – 18/4 & 19/4 training as normal
HP1 & P1 – 18/4 evening training NOW CANCELLED!

TRAINING SCHEDULE – Reflects the new timetable due to revised pool availability from Cardiff CC. However on Fridays until Penarth LC re-opens HP3 will train at CIP 18:00-20:00. P1 can train with HP1 16:30-18:30. EASTER Training changes to be confirmed shortly.
