City of Cardiff Swimming Club is a private members’ club affiliated to Swim Wales, providing a supportive and ambitious environment where swimmers can learn, develop, compete and achieve their potential.
At the heart of the club is a clear pathway — from learning to swim and developing confidence in the water, through to competitive swimming and athletes competing at national and international level.
Supported by experienced coaches, dedicated volunteers and a strong club community, we aim to provide the right environment for every swimmer to develop and pursue their ambitions.
Our Learn to Swim programme provides young swimmers with the skills, confidence and foundations they need to enjoy swimming and progress within the sport.
With a focus on developing strong technique in a positive and supportive environment, swimmers can progress through the programme and, where appropriate, into the club’s competitive swimming pathway.
City of Cardiff is a competitive swimming club, with swimmers taking part in a comprehensive programme of competitions across Wales, the UK and internationally, appropriate to their age, ability and stage of development.
Our programme supports swimmers throughout their development, from their first competitive experiences through to national and international competition.
City of Cardiff is proud to support Para swimmers as part of our competitive swimming programme, providing opportunities for athletes to develop and progress within the Para swimming pathway.
Our Para swimmers train alongside the wider club programme and have opportunities to compete at regional, national and international level, with coaching and competition programmes appropriate to each swimmer’s individual development.
We are committed to creating an inclusive performance environment where Para swimmers can develop their ability, pursue their ambitions and be an integral part of the City of Cardiff swimming family.
City of Cardiff is also home to Cardiff’s only artistic swimming team.
The team welcomes strong swimmers from Wave 5 and above, with training taking place at Cogan Leisure Centre every Tuesday from 6:30pm–8:00pm.
