City of Cardiff have hosted three successful long course meets at the Cardiff International Pool in 2018. We can proudly announce 16 swimmers have been invited to the British Summer Championships and a record number of swimmers are going to the Swim Wales Summer Open.
Last month our flagship Cardiff International Open Level 1 Meet welcomed 68 visiting clubs and 660 swimmers; 3056 entries competing in heats & finals over three days of competition.
Head Coach Graham commented that the meet ran really well this year. It was really smooth and everyone seemed happy!
Clevedon ASC added “I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable galas I’ve been to in a long while. Really friendly team, very well run and nothing seemed like too much bother for you. Having Domino’s as a sponsor was a stroke of genius. I hope we can come to a Cardiff meet in the future with a greater number of swimmers.”
City of Birmingham won Top Club and tweeted “Did it again!! @COB_Swim Top Club Thanks to @CardiffSwimClub for hosting such a well-run and hospitable meet. Great work. Well done also to all our swimmers for their efforts”
